Privacy policy
Pitch Life does not collect any data about you. It has no account system, no servers, and no code that sends anything anywhere. Your career is saved as ordinary files on your own phone, and that is the only place it exists.
What we collect
Nothing. The app contains no analytics service, no advertising libraries, no crash reporting service, no in-app purchase libraries and no social or sign-in integrations. It does not ask for your name, your email address, your contacts, your location, your photos, your microphone or your camera. It does not read your advertising identifier or any other device identifier.
The app has no networking code at all. On Android it does not declare the
INTERNET permission. The only system feature it uses is the one
that tells it where its own private storage folder is, so it can write your
save file there.
What the app stores on your device
One file per career, plus a small index of which careers exist. They are written inside the app's own documents folder:
saves/slot_0.json— a career, as plain readable JSONsaves/slot_0.json.bak— the previous version of that career, kept so a crash during a save cannot cost you the filesaves/index.json— the short summary shown on the title screen (player name, club, age, when it was last played)
A career file contains only game state: the name you typed for your player, their position, attributes, money, form and morale, the generated clubs and league they play in, which story events have already happened, and timestamps of when the save was written. All of it is generated by the game or typed by you into the game. None of it is transmitted.
The game's content — commentary lines, story events, club and city names, the lifestyle catalogue — ships inside the app as bundled files. Nothing is downloaded at runtime, so there is no request to a content server and nothing to log.
Device backups
Because saves live in the app's documents folder, they are picked up by your phone's normal backup: Android Auto Backup on Android, and device or iCloud backup on iOS. That is deliberate, so that reinstalling the app does not delete a ten-season career. Those backups are handled by Apple and Google under their own privacy policies and under your own backup settings. We cannot see them, and we have no way to read your save.
Accounts, online play, leaderboards
There are none. There is no login, no friends list, no chat, no cloud save and no online leaderboard in this version. The rival players you read about in the game are characters the game invents; they are not other people and they are never presented as other people. The entire game works with the phone offline.
If online features are ever added, this page will be updated before they ship and the store listing's privacy answers will be redone to match.
Advertising and purchases
The app currently contains no advertising and no in-app purchases. There is no ad network in the build, so there is no ad profiling, no tracking prompt and nothing to opt out of. There is a single in-game currency, which is earned by playing and cannot be bought.
The analytics switch in Settings
Settings shows an Analytics switch. It is off by default and it is never pre-ticked. In the current build it is not connected to anything — there is no analytics system in the app for it to turn on, and the switch is not even remembered between launches. It is in place so that the setting exists before any measurement does.
If analytics are added later, they will stay opt-in and off by default, they will be limited to anonymous counts of in-game actions with no identifier that can be tied to a person, and this page will say exactly what is sent before the feature ships.
Deleting your data
Uninstalling Pitch Life deletes the app's documents folder, and with it every save file and the index. There is nothing left on a server, because there is no server.
Two things to know:
- Your phone's backup may still hold a copy of the save after you uninstall. Clearing that is done in your device's backup settings, not in the game.
- Starting a new career from the title screen overwrites the existing career in that slot. The game asks you to confirm first and names the career you are about to lose, but once confirmed it is gone.
Settings also shows Export career and Import career buttons. In the current build these are placeholders and do nothing when tapped. When they work, an export will be a plain JSON copy of one career that you choose where to send — we will not receive it.
Children
Pitch Life is not directed at young children, but no part of that matters much here: the app collects no personal data from anyone, of any age. There are no ads, no purchases, no chat, no user profiles and no way for one player to see another player's content. Nothing a child types into the game leaves the device.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, because we do not collect personal information at all. If you believe something in the app contradicts this, please write to us at the address below and we will fix it.
Your rights
Data protection law gives you rights to access, correct, export and delete personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to hand over or erase. Your save file is yours, on your device, and you can read it with any text editor.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts doing something this page does not describe — analytics, ads, purchases, cloud save — this page is updated first, with a new date at the top, and the store privacy forms are updated with it. We will not quietly add collection under an old policy.
